Privacy policy
The short version: this website collects nothing about you. When you contact us, we use what you send us to help you — and for nothing else.

Who we are: IT Support World Limited, registered in England and Wales (company no. 09064078), Vision House, 3 Dee Road, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 2JN. We are the data controller for the personal information described on this page.
This website
This website is deliberately built to collect nothing:
- No cookies. The site sets no cookies of any kind and stores nothing on your device — see our data policy.
- Only anonymous, cookieless measurement. We use Google Analytics in its strictest privacy mode: it sets no cookies, cannot recognise returning visitors, and gives us aggregate page-view figures only. No advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no profiling — the data policy explains exactly how this works.
- No accounts or forms that store data. The contact form simply opens your own email app; nothing you type is transmitted to or stored by this website.
Like almost every web server, ours keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and fault-finding. These are routine server records, are not used to identify or profile visitors, and are deleted on a rolling basis.
When you contact us
If you email us, call us, or send the contact form from your own email app, we receive the details you choose to give — typically your name, contact details and a description of your problem or project. We use them to:
- reply to you and provide the help you asked for;
- prepare quotes and carry out agreed work;
- keep the records that tax and company law require us to keep.
The lawful bases we rely on are: taking steps you request before entering a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and legal obligation for statutory records.
When we work on your systems
Providing IT support sometimes means we can see data on your computers, phones or cloud accounts. We access only what the job requires, act on your instructions, keep what we see confidential, and remove any working copies when the job is done. For business clients this is also covered by our service agreement.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent personal information — to anyone, for any reason.
- We never use your information for third-party marketing.
- We never share it except with service providers strictly needed to serve you (for example an email or ticketing platform), under contract, or where the law requires.
How long we keep information
Enquiry correspondence that doesn't become work is deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the duration of the relationship plus the 6 years that UK tax and contract law expect, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you (access), correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, provide a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email info@itsupportworld.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
More detail on how we meet UK GDPR obligations is in our UK GDPR statement.
